[Radio-announce] Affiliate Convention Coverage continues on ACBRadio Live Event

Hello all,

I hope you enjoyed the coverage this past weekend provided by the Michigan
Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Now we turn our attention to this upcoming weekend as the Illinois Council
of the Blind prepares for its convention.

This weekend ICB will be providing great coverage of its convention starting
on Friday October 3, 2014.

Following is the streaming schedule of events.

Friday October 3
11:00 AM - Sessions Begin
Welcome Invocation, Introduction of First Timers, Credentials Report, First
Reading of Nominations, Reading and Approval of Proposed FY-2015 ICB Budget,
President's Report and First Presentation of 2015 Convention Bid.
1:30 PM - "Ways to Live a Healthier & Happier Life", Jessica Krauser,
Healthy Living Advisor at HealthTrak Sports & Wellness.
2:30 PM - "The Future of BBS", New Bureau Chief, Illinois Bureau of Blind
3:30 PM - "Battle of the Phones" (IPhones & Androids), David Flament, Second
4:15 PM - "How to Diminish Your Chances of Becoming a Victim of Identity
Theft", Lizveth Mendez, Illinois Attorney General's Office.

Saturday October 4
8:30 AM - "Getting ICB Younger", Sara Conrad, ACB Board of Directors.
9:15 AM -Introduction of First Timers,Second Reading of Nominations and
accepting Nominations from the floor and final Presentation of Convention
2015 Bid.

2:45 PM- "Library Update", Rose Chenowith, Director at Illinois Talking Book
Outreach Center
4:00 PM- "Self-Defense Presentation", Brett Wolf, Judo Instructor
5:00 PM- ICB Candidates' Forum
7:00 PM- ICB Banquet Dinner - (Coltrane Room)
* Master of Ceremonies - Bill Nicholson, Host of "The Eclectic Picnic" Show
* Banquet Speaker - Sara Conrad, ACB Board of Directors
* Guest of Honor - Rob Jones, Singer/Songwriter will speak and play a few of
his songs during dessert.
* Presentation of Awards: Robert J. O'Shaughnessy Award, Dick Bledsoe Award,
& Phil Janes Award
* ICB Floyd Cargill Scholarship Winner Presented
* 50/50 Raffle & Hotel Room Raffle Winner Presented

Sunday, Oct. 5
8:15 AM - Memorial Service
9:00AM - Includes: Elections, Second Reading and Passing of Resolutions,
Affiliate Reports, Old Business and New Business.
