*/Team Tactile /*– Wednesday November 9th 10:30PM Eastern/7:30PM Pacific
(and replays every two hours throughout the next day)

According to Microsoft, a tight-knit group of Massachusetts Institute of
Technology engineering students, known as Team Tactile, invented a
special device that will allow low vision and blind people to read
materials from menus to textbooks. We’ll learn more about how this
candy-bar sized device transforms printed words into Braille and how
Microsoft’s #MakeWhatsNext Program helped Team Tactile get the necessary
legal help in navigating the expensive and complicated process of
getting a patent for the gadget from two of the group’s members: Jialin
Shi and Grace Li and Microsoft Global Advertising Team’s Director of
Marketing Jenny Leahy.
